and to promote renewable energy in

Southeast Idaho

The Portneuf Resource Council (PRC) is committed to helping build sustainable environmental communities that balance economic growth with the health of people and stewardship of their environment. Our focus is in the Portneuf River Valley, the city of Pocatello and its surrounding communities. We are actively engaged in Climate Solutions and Clean Water initiatives.

Clean Energy and Electrification

PRC advocates for the rapid adoption of clean, renewable energy and promotes electrification for a cleaner future that saves the community money.

Put Water First

For us, this means taking a systematic view of drinking water source and watershed security that considers water quality and quantity as well as human and ecosystem health. PRC members are working with local officials to implement programs and policies that protect the Lower Portneuf Valley Aquifer and the Portneuf River watershed for the people, ecosystems, businesses and economies of Pocatello and surrounding communities.

Sustainable Idaho

Sustainable Idaho is a locally produced program aired and streamed by KISU, a National Public Radio affiliate station with studios at Idaho State University. The show explores a wide range of locally important sustainability topics. Our hosts consider three key pillars of sustainability: the economic, societal, and environmental aspects and why these matter to Idahoans.
