The Honnold Foundation has recently announced another grant cycle in support of creative community solar initiatives. Up to $150,000 for solar demonstration projects that could help out the local fire departments, homeless shelters, food cooperatives, schools, public water works, libraries, etc. It could be something for folks to collaborate on or work solo.

The SolarForAll grant competition was created through the InflationReductionAct to increase accessibility to affordable, clean, and resilient solar energy for low-income and disadvantaged households, while also creating jobs and lowering energy costs. With these grants, Idaho cities can improve their plans to reduce air pollution and help close the equity gap in access to solar energy at no cost to the city’s budget.
